Up, and Downs, then Up, only to see more Down...

How can I start out this post? Well, I supposed I can say my poker life has been way up and down lately. I havent been able to play very often, and when I do get the chance, it comes with mixed results.

Playing online has become somewhat of a haven for me. I have my up and downs online, but for some reason, when I am on an upswing, its a good upswing, and when Im going low, well, its a small low, and it doesnt hurt me in the end. I would much rather play cash games, but my cash game is an average players game, and the lack of play has left me quite rusty when I do decide to attend a game.

Playing family man does suck sometimes, mostly because my wife has been getting pissy here and there about me playing poker, and my kids are running out of warm sunlit days, so I try to spend some good afternoons and nights with them. I have occasionally been able to sneak out to a game or two, but mostly those are E's Friday Night Pink game.

Didnt do very well this week at the Pink game, saw some new faces, who proceeded to get alot of good cards, and get payed off in the process. Saw Launtz play his last Pink game for awhile, hes off to Iraq for a year or more, so if yall are the praying type, pray for Launtz, hes a cool cat when your not sucking out on him.

Funny thing lately has been the League Tournament for Md-Poker. I started playing in week 4 or 5, missing quite a few games, and coming in late is not a good thing. But, something strange happened. I was able to finish with some good places, 2,3,5,20. Which accrued me enough points to be able to play in the League Final game the other night. I barely snuck in the top 9, so it was somewhat of an accomplishment for me.

Last night was the best game Ive played in awhile. I got good cards, and when I picked my spots to bluff, it was good timing all around. I eventually got heads up with Keenan, probably the last player I wanted to go heads up against at that table. So, ofcourse the person I dont want to play ends up being my final adversary. Didnt last very long ofcourse, exactly what I was expecting. Last hand saw me go all in with A/Q against Keenans K/K. Sometimes you just wonder if the online site wants the game over for some reason or another, because these become the type of hands that really make you want to get your money in the middle.
I decided to push on the turn regardless of what came. And Keenan calls, flipping over his Kings. I have 7 outs left, and, ofcourse on the river, I hit one my outs, making me a wheel, and winning me the league final game.

Well, thats whats been happening lately, hopefully I dont go another month without posting something, but posting in your blog once a month has become a trend lately. Hopefully I have something good to write about in the month of November.
